MyFundedFutures rules, explained

By Tyler Branstiter · Updated October 13, 2026 · Last reviewed October 13, 2026 · 8 min read

MyFundedFutures (MFFU) isn't one program. It sells several plans that differ in the drawdown type, the consistency rule, and how and when you get paid: Rapid, Rapid EOD, Builder and Pro. The right one depends on how you trade, and picking the wrong one is the main way to make MFFU harder than it needs to be.

Rules on this page were checked against MyFundedFutures' help center on Oct 13, 2026. MFFU updates its plans and runs frequent promotions, and some of its own articles disagree with each other (we point those out), so confirm your account's numbers in your dashboard before you trade. Sources are listed at the bottom.

The plans at a glance

  • Rapid. Built for daily payouts. Evaluation with a 50% consistency rule, then a sim-funded account that starts at $0 with an intraday trailing drawdown and no consistency rule. 90/10 split.
  • Rapid EOD. The same idea with an end-of-day drawdown and a stricter 30% consistency rule in the evaluation. Sold in 25K and 50K sizes.
  • Builder. The easiest to pass: no consistency rule or minimum days beyond one in the evaluation, a soft-pause daily limit, and a sim-funded stage that pays 80/20 up to five times before a live account.
  • Pro. The slowest payout rhythm and the largest stated cap: requests every 14 days, up to $100,000 per user, 80/20.

MFFU also keeps older plans in a Legacy collection that aren't covered here. There's no activation fee on any plan.

MFFU also offers a free Pro 1Day add-on (for a limited time) with a $4,000 target, no consistency rule and no daily loss limit.

How the drawdowns work

End-of-day trailing (Builder, Rapid EOD, Pro)

The floor moves up only at the end of the day, to your best closing balance minus the max loss, and never moves down. It locks at $100 above the starting balance. Open losses count when the account is checked, so an open trade that pushes you through the floor still fails it.

A day-by-day example on a 50K Builder ($2,000 max loss):

DayP&LClosing balanceFloor after the close
Start—$50,000$48,000
1+$900$50,900$48,900
2−$400$50,500$48,900 (never moves down)
3+$1,600$52,100$50,100 (locks at start + $100)

Day 3's close would trail the floor to $50,100, which is exactly the lock level, so it stops there for good.

Intraday trailing (Rapid sim-funded)

Here the floor follows your peak equity, realized and unrealized, in real time. MFFU's article defines it as the starting balance minus the trailing drawdown ($50,000 − $2,000 = $48,000), and a new equity high lifts the limit by the same amount. Open-trade losses never lower the limit, but they count toward a breach. It doesn't trail beyond the starting level.

Rapid sim-funded accounts start at a $0 balance, so the floor starts at −$2,000 on a 50K and rises with your high-water mark until it locks at $100.

MomentEquityHigh-water markFloor
Start$0$0−$2,000
Day 1: trade spikes+$900+$900−$1,100
Day 1: closes+$400+$900−$1,100 (never moves down)
Day 2: trade spikes+$2,300+$2,300$100 (locks)

From the moment the high-water mark reaches $2,100, the floor sits at $100 and stops trailing.

Compare it with the end-of-day version: on day 1 the peak counted even though the trade closed for less, which is exactly why intraday is harder to manage. The mechanics are covered in Trailing drawdown, explained, and you can test your own numbers with the free trailing drawdown calculator, which has an MFFU preset.

A note on MFFU's own wording

MFFU's articles aren't fully consistent about Rapid. The Rapid plan pages label the evaluation max loss "End of Day" and the sim-funded one intraday trailing, while its general parameters article lists intraday drawdown as a Rapid-only feature without separating the stages. If it matters to your sizing, read what your own Rapid dashboard reports before you trade.

A few details worth knowing:

  • Pro lets you withdraw before the buffer is cleared: up to 60% of your profits (minimum $1,000), with the remaining 40% staying in the account.
  • Pro's first payout changes the floor. After it, the max loss limit moves to $50,100 / $100,100 / $150,100 on 50K / 100K / 150K and stays static.
  • Builder's sim payouts lead to a live account. After the fifth approved sim payout you're eligible for live, where the minimum payout is $250 and payouts are daily.
  • Processing: MFFU says most payouts are approved instantly, with manual review taking 6 to 12 business hours.
  • Getting paid: you complete KYC and open a Riseworks account. Bank transfer and crypto are both offered.

For how payout gating works across firms, see Payout buffer and days to payout, explained.

The consistency rule, with numbers

MFFU's formula: no single day's profit may exceed the consistency percentage of your total evaluation profit.

  • Rapid and Pro evaluations (50%): on a 50K with a $3,000 target, your best day can be up to $1,500.
  • Rapid EOD evaluations (30%): the same target limits your best day to $900.

Exceeding it doesn't breach the account: you trade more days until the ratio is back under the limit. Example on a 50K Rapid EOD: you make $1,200 in a day and $500 over the next two, a total of $1,700, so your best day is 71%. To get back under 30% with $1,200 as your best day, your total has to reach $4,000 (1,200 / 0.30).

Builder removes the rule from the evaluation (you can pass in a day), then applies a 50% rule in sim-funded and to payouts. For how firms compare, see The consistency rule, explained.

News trading

MFFU's News Trading Policy splits by stage. Tier 1 events are FOMC meetings, FOMC minutes, the Employment Report and CPI (plus EIA and agricultural reports for those markets):

  • Evaluations and Builder: Tier 1 trading is permitted.
  • Rapid and Pro sim-funded: Tier 1 trading is prohibited.
  • Everyone: straddling or exploiting immediate news bursts is prohibited, and the policy tells you to have no open positions or orders two minutes before and after a release.

Be flat at least two minutes before: for an 8:30 release, closed by 8:28:00 and not reopening until after 8:32:00.

The mistakes that fail MFFU accounts

  • Treating Rapid's sim-funded drawdown like the evaluation's. A spike that closes for less still raises the floor.
  • Not knowing which plan you're on. 30% vs 50% consistency, 7 vs 14 day payout rhythm, and 80/20 vs 90/10 all hang on the plan.
  • Carrying Tier 1 news into a Rapid or Pro funded account. It's allowed in the evaluation and prohibited after.
  • Oversizing in Pro. Evaluation size and sim-funded size aren't the same.
  • Requesting a payout in the middle of the buffer without planning for the floor change after a Pro first payout.
  • Ignoring inactivity. Builder and Rapid EOD both have a 7-day inactivity rule.

What it costs to get funded

There are no activation fees. MFFU's help center states list prices for the 50K Builder only: $153 for the Default plan and $125 for the Add-On (with a $1,500 max loss), before promo codes such as 30 to 40% discounts. It doesn't state a Rapid or Pro price in the plan articles, and it changes with promotions, so check checkout. For purchases made from Aug 25, 2026, MFFU says there's no renewal cycle (a one-time payment model). Earlier purchases renew every 30 days. A reset is a manual action that restores your starting balance, and it works the same for all accounts.

Run the numbers with the eval cost calculator, which has an MFFU preset, and enter your own price.

Track it against your account

Save MFFU's numbers as a rule set in Tradervana and attach it to each account. Start from the My Funded Futures entry in the rule catalog, then check each number against the tables above. With Pro, you get:

  • Live drawdown room, including the intraday peak on Rapid and the lock at $100
  • Consistency tracking as your best day's share of total profit
  • Breach and pass detection and inactivity alerts before a 7-day idle window runs out
  • A payout tracker that weighs plan fees and resets against what you've actually been paid
  • And more

MFFU accounts run on Tradovate, so Tradervana's Tradovate sync applies. Prop-firm accounts use the Demo environment. The free plan's CSV import works with a Tradovate export too.

Save your MFFU numbers as a rule set and see your drawdown room, consistency and costs against payouts on every account, updated as you trade.

FAQ

Does MyFundedFutures have a daily loss limit?

Not on Rapid, Rapid EOD or Pro. Builder has a soft-pause daily loss limit ($600 / $1,000 / $1,750 / $2,500 on 25K / 50K / 100K / 150K) that pauses trading for the day rather than breaching the account.

Is MyFundedFutures' drawdown end-of-day or intraday?

It depends on the plan. Builder, Rapid EOD and Pro use end-of-day trailing. On Rapid, MFFU's plan pages list the evaluation max loss as end-of-day and the sim-funded max loss as intraday trailing from your equity high-water mark. Its general parameters article calls intraday drawdown a Rapid-only feature, so confirm what your own Rapid dashboard shows.

What is MyFundedFutures' consistency rule?

It's 30% on Rapid EOD evaluations and 50% on Rapid and Pro evaluations. Builder has no consistency rule in the evaluation, but has a 50% rule in the sim-funded stage and for payouts. Exceeding it doesn't breach the account: you trade more days until it's met.

How often can I take payouts?

Rapid payouts are daily, starting 24 hours after your first sim-funded trade. Pro lets you request every 14 calendar days from your first trade. Builder pays per cycle, with a flat $2,000 cap per cycle and up to five sim payouts on the 50K.

Does MyFundedFutures charge an activation fee?

No. MFFU's help center says there are no activation fees on any plan.

Can I trade the news on MyFundedFutures?

Tier 1 news events (FOMC meetings and minutes, the Employment Report and CPI) are permitted in evaluations and Builder and prohibited in Rapid and Pro sim-funded accounts. Read MFFU's News Trading Policy for the flat-before-and-after windows that apply to scheduled releases.
